For 20 years, Amit collected beer coasters and merchandise from around the world. In 2016, after countless brewing attempts and recipe changes in the heart of the kitchen at ‘Pepa’ restaurant, where he was a partner for about 8 years, he launched the ‘Meltzer’ beer brand for the first time, dedicating it to his father Ilan, who appears on the logo. This marked the beginning of Meltzer Brewery and its journey in the brewing industry.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the entire restaurant industry was closed, Amit traveled between alcohol and beer stores to sell his brand. Eventually, he reached 72 points of sale across the country. Today, Meltzer Brewery’s beer portfolio includes 8 types of beer – some permanent, some seasonal, and some produced in limited editions.
For years, Amit dreamed of opening a place to showcase his collection, offer beers that can’t be found everywhere, connect good people, and encourage conversations about beer. In 2022, Amit fulfilled his dream and opened the ‘Meltzer Beer House,’ a place dedicated entirely to beer. The beer house is a warm home for people and beer, almost like a museum, with about 140 different beers from around the world, including 20 to 30 kegs and a selection of personally imported beers available exclusively at Meltzer Beer House. You can find Ilan wandering around, telling the story of the place, and ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves. Nostalgic music from the 60s to the 80s plays in the background, and the food served is perfectly paired with the beer.
